Limousin Beef

CARSON BAY FARMS has been producing top quality Limousin Beef in the Quinte area for more than 25 years. Located north of Picton on Hwy. 49, Prince Edward County. You are able to see our live cattle by the roadside and notice they are always well fed and well cared for.

Most of our cows were raised on this farm and we keep the best heifers for replacement. Always using a high performance bull displaying the confirmation and style we prefer, our market cattle always bring top price at a sale, top place in steer show and delight to our butcher – Lynn Cole, Cole Bros. Meats. This is not to boast, but to let you know, of the quality we are so proud of. We prefer Limousin cattle because of the quality of the meat, the tenderness and the dress weight of the animals. Customer satisfaction and return business confirm we supply a great product.

  • Calves are born in late summer, a few in early spring. While at an early age and still with their mothers, the calves are introduced to feed in a calf creep.
  • After weaning, they will continue on a specialized feeding program and all cattle are included in a herd health program overseen by a professional and always handled in a humane manner.
  • Market cattle are all age verified and processed by a provincially inspected abattoir, allowed to age 21-28 days to ensure the best of tenderness, marbling and grade texture.
